Adapting to current in-person gathering restrictions, Millennium Corporate board, volunteers, management and over 100 member credit union staff, and Mike Schenk, CUNA Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Policy Analysis & Chief Economist, jumped on Zoom Friday, April 24th to host, attend and present at our 68th Annual Membership Meeting.
Reports were shared from committees and the Treasurer. Board Chair, Tom Kjar, President/CEO of Creighton FCU, and Millennium Corporate President/CEO, Larry Eisenhauer, shared words of wisdom and highlights of 2019. Mr. Shenk spoke to current economic events, which as we know, are quite tumultuous, as of late. Three board positions were re-elected – we welcome back Glenna Jarvis, Missouri Central Credit Union, LaRae Kraemer, K-State Credit Union, and Nebraska’s very own Tom Kjar, for three-year terms. Mr. Kjar was elected to serve as the Millennium Corporate Board Chair, a position he has held for the last 5 years. Other officer positions remain unchanged with Greg Winkler, Azura Credit Union, serving as the Vice-Chair, and Mark Kolarik, Kansas Teachers Community Credit Union, as the Secretary/Treasury. Our sincere thanks to all for serving, including our Committee volunteers – Dee Schriner of Trius Federal Credit Union and Jerry Barnett of LincOne Federal Credit Union, to mention two more fabulous Nebraskans.
2019 highlights included record Net Income and Retained Earnings, online enhancements to coreCONNECT and a new website for AIM – Asset & Investment Management. SimpliCD Online is a new investment tool secured behind the AIM website that further simplifies the investing process. Email aim@aimcusolutions.org to learn more about SimpliCD Online.
Credit unions and trade associations in attendance Zoomed in from NE, KS, MO and MT. And this year, we also welcomed attendees from the Dakotas who have capitalized on membership with Millennium Corporate through our non-capitalized membership option, the Membership Deposit Shares or MDS. Member Engagement Representatives can provide you the specifics on this short-term, non-capitalized membership type, if you are interested. Email membership@millenniumcorporate.org.
