In 2020, the League in collaboration with eight Omaha area credit unions set out on a journey to help re-elect Congressman Don Bacon. During his time on Capitol Hill, Congressman Bacon had proven himself to be a staunch credit union advocate, supporting credit union priorities such as regulatory relief, the tax status, and numerous other legislative priorities.
Included in our support for Congressman Bacon were Digital Ads in the form of banners and videos aimed at reaching registered Republican and Independent credit union member/voters.
We are pleased to report that one of those Digital Ads received a Pollie Award that will be presented this month in Las Vegas. A Pollie Award is the most prized and sought-after awards in the political communications and public affairs industries. Every entry – whether submitted by a large consulting company or an individual consultant – is considered equal in competing for honors of excellence. A blind jury of professional peers selects AAPC award winners.
The winning Ad “Bob & Sue” took home the Gold for Best Digital Video Campaign in a U.S. Race.
A special thanks to the League’s partner and collaborator Bullhorn Communications.
