The Senate confirmed NCUA Chairman Todd Harper to a five-year term through April 2027. Harper, who joined the board in April 2019 under President Donald Trump, was named chairman in January 2021 by President Joe Biden.
Prior to joining the NCUA Board, Harper served as director of the agency’s Office of Public and Congressional Affairs and chief policy advisor to former Chair’s Debbie Matz and Rick Metsger. He also previously worked for the House as a subcommittee staff director and as legislative director and senior legislative assistant to former Rep. Paul Kanjorski, D-Pa.
