In late 2019, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) created a website called Credit Unions: Advancing Communities where credit unions could tell their story by uploading impactful member stories. Each state has its own page on the website where a member, a credit union team member, or the League can upload video stories of how credit unions are serving their communities.
“Credit unions are having a positive impact on the financial lives of their members everyday and we want to make sure those stories aren’t the best kept secret” said Brandon Luetkenhaus, Chief Advocacy Officer at the League. The site aims to inform the public, lawmakers, regulators, about how credit unions are serving their members and the communities where they serve.
Member stories can be told by the member themselves, credit union team members that helped the member, or a credit union board member. The video’s can be taken with an iphone and uploaded to the site. If you have any questions, please contact Brandon at the League.
