CUNA Strategic Services Announces Relationship with Tetto 5G to Provide Non-Interest Income to Credit Unions while Expanding Broadband Equity to Members
CUNA Strategic Services (CSS) announces the selection of Tetto 5G as an alliance partner, assisting credit unions by sourcing, negotiating and securing long-term lease agreements with major wireless carriers seeking to deploy the latest 5G technology.
“We are excited to welcome Tetto 5G as a new alliance. Tetto 5G’s mantra of ‘Enabling the Connected Society’ signals the arrival of both 5G and electric vehicle (EV) charging resources for participating branches,” said Barb Lowman, President of CSS. “This strategic alliance is designed to help credit unions generate non-interest income, provide broadband equity for underserved communities, and increase bandwidth at the credit unions themselves while simultaneously providing EV charging access for employees and members at the branch level.”
Wireless carriers are rapidly expanding their 5G footprints and are projected to add more than a million new cell sites over the next several years. Carriers need quality, high-traffic sites nationwide. Credit unions are uniquely positioned to aid in this expansion of critical infrastructure, offering benefits to the credit union itself as well as for their communities.
“We are excited that CSS has selected Tetto 5G as their preferred 5G / EV charging alliance provider for credit unions,” said Niles Chura, CEO and President of Tetto 5G. “Credit unions provide wireless carriers with strong membership relationships, quality locations, and advanced technical solutions which are of great interest to cellular providers as they grow their 5G footprints. Additionally, the community-based nature of credit unions affords ideal locations for the installation of EV chargers.”
