Ballast Research named the CUNA-League system as the most credible trade association in Washington, D.C., across all industries, based on an independent study of Washington policymakers. This is the sixth year in a row that CUNA was cited as the most influential financial services trade association.
“The competition for attention on Capitol Hill has never been fiercer,” CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle said. “The CUNA-League system being recognized once again as the most influential in the industry, by members of Congress and their staff, is an honor. The strength of our unified voice, our credibility, enables us to ensure that credit union priorities are front and center with policymakers.”
The Ballast Survey also found that the CUNA-League system is the voice of the financial services industry in Washington, providing reliable data and research illustrating how policies impact the average person.
Some additional key findings of the Ballast Research Survey include:
CUNA maintained or improved its effectiveness in every key advocacy activity measured, including grassroots, research and data, and communications.
CUNA’s overall reputation outpaces its financial industry peers on both sides of the aisle.
CUNA made strong gains in its perception across every reputation measure, including credibility, access, influence, and engagement.
“The voice of the CUNA-League system is stronger than ever, and we are proud to share this moment with the 130 million credit union members across the nation,” added Nussle.
