In June, Lincoln USDA Federal Credit Union (Lincoln USDA) members voted in favor of merging into First Nebraska Credit Union, and the merger was finalized on Oct. 1, 2022.
The Lincoln USDA FCU branch at Centennial Mall, Lincoln, NE closed Sept. 30, and former Lincoln USDA FCU members are now able to do business at any of the five FNCU branches.
“We are excited that the members of both credit unions recognize the benefits to merging First Nebraska Credit Union and Lincoln USDA,” said Ann Loftis, President and CEO, First Nebraska. “This merger was a great fit for both organizations, strategically and culturally. We welcome Lincoln USDA members to our family, and look forward to helping them with their financial needs.”
The merger will not result in any lay-offs or elimination of any positions.
