Thirty-seven (37) Nebraska credit union professionals and volunteers raised a record-setting $2,400 in support of CULAC, the PAC of Credit Unions, during its “$30 by the 30th” campaign. The campaign asked credit union supporters to donate $30 in the month of June to CULAC. CULAC, a political action committee (PAC), is administered by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and is the premier PAC of the credit union system and the CUNA/League system’s primary means of supporting pro-credit union candidates for office. CULAC reported that the campaign raised nearly $52,000 and we in Nebraska doubled the amount raised in 2022.
Amy Brodersen, President/CEO of Family Focus FCU and Nebraska’s CULAC Trustee said, “I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the tremendous support that has led us to achieve our goal of $2400. This milestone is truly worth celebrating and serves as a powerful reminder of the incredible impact we can make when we come together for a common cause. As we celebrate this achievement, I personally encourage every one of you to continue supporting CULAC in any way you can, be it through payroll deduction or other means that resonate with you. Our work is ongoing, and together, our collective efforts hold the power to create lasting change and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the countless credit union members we serve. Together, our united voices and combined efforts not only helps us reach our financial targets but also solidifies our position as one of the most highly influential political action groups in the country.”
