The Senate Banking Committee will hold a confirmation hearing on President Biden’s nominee Ms. Tanya Otsuka to the National Credit Union Administration Board. President Biden nominated Ms. Otsuka on September 21st to fill the seat of Member Rodney Hood whose term expired in August. Ms. Otsuka currently serves as senior counsel for the majority staff of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee which is chaired by U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH). Ms. Ostuka’s work on the Committee staff included banking and credit union issues.
If confirmed, Ms. Ostuka will join Chairman Todd Harper and Board Member Kyle Hauptman on the NCUA Board. All three have served on Capitol Hill as staff members.
