The Nebraska Credit Union League hosted its annual state advocacy conference, Jam the Unicam, in Lincoln on January 31st. The conference brought more than sixty credit union professionals, volunteers, and business partners to the state’s capital city.
Centris Federal Credit Union sponsored the luncheon with Governor Jim Pillen who spoke about his Administration’s vision and priorities for the sixty-day legislative session. Included in his priorities are reducing the property tax burden on Nebraskans by 40%, improving workforce housing, promoting Nebraska products around the world, and making Nebraska a place that our children want to stay to raise their families.
Attendees also heard from Lance Wagner of Federal Reserve Financial Services about the FedNow payments system; FHLBank of Topeka’s Tony Venditte and Ryan Gilliland on the FHFA’s FHLBank 100 Years Report; UNO Professor Dr. Randy Adkins on the 2024 Elections; and NDB&F Director Kelly Lammers who provided a state regulatory update.
Following the conference, the League hosted a reception for attendees and State Senators at Billy’s Restaurant.
