Nominations are now being accepted for three director positions on the League’s Board of Directors. The 2024 seats up for election include:
- Asset Category C: (Credit Unions less than $40 million in assets)
- Geographic District 1
- Geographic District 3
The deadline for nominations and seconds is Thursday, February 29th.
Voting will begin March 14th and close March 28th contested elections. Nomination information can be found on the League’s Website.
The League has received the following nominations:
- Geographic District 1: Bart Protzman, CEO, Four Points FCU, Omaha, NE.
- Geographic District 1: Ann Loftis, CEO, First Nebraska CU, Omaha, NE.
Directors elected will take office upon the adjournment of the League’s Annual Meeting, to be held June 12, 2024, and will serve through the 2027 Annual Meeting.
Each credit union nominee must be an employee or a voting board member of the nominating credit union, with the nomination seconded in writing by one other credit unions from the same geographic district or asset category.
Candidates should consider these characteristics, experiences and influences when self-assessing their qualifications for a Board position. Candidates will have the opportunity to address how they meet these characteristics as they complete their candidate profile form. The League Board considers these characteristics important in qualified candidates:
- Demonstrated a commitment to and engagement with the League
- Involvement in their credit union community
- Proven decision-making skills
- Demonstrated local, state and national advocacy experience/efforts
- Business savvy
- Communication skills
- Strategic expertise
- Dedication to credit union values
- Leadership skills
